Why Someone Paid $40 Million for a New Ferrari

Ferrari made a new electric car called the Luce. The first car, called "Chassis 0," was sold at an auction in California in August 2026. Someone paid $40 million for it.

This was not a normal car from a shop. It was the very first Luce car Ferrari made. It had special colors and materials. A special sign showed it was unique.

The auction was for charity. All the money will help students through the Ferrari Foundation. This price broke the old record. Before, the most expensive new car sold for $26 million.
