Driver Saves Rival From Burning Car at China GT

During a China GT race in Shanghai on September 5, a Ferrari caught fire after a crash. British driver Ollie Millroy was inside. The race was stopped, but the fire grew around the car.

Dutch driver Loek Hartog stopped his Porsche. He ran to the Ferrari, took a fire extinguisher from a marshal, and fought the flames. Then he pulled Millroy out of the cockpit. The rescue took about 49 seconds from when Hartog left his car.

Millroy went to hospital with broken ribs, a broken collarbone, injuries to his hand, and a bruised lung. Later, he thanked Hartog. He said he was alive because Hartog helped him.
