Kenya Investigates Deaths of 15 Elephants Near Amboseli

Fifteen elephants have died near Amboseli National Park in Kenya. Wildlife workers are trying to find out why.

Some of the elephants became very weak before they died. Tests found a toxic substance in samples from the animals. But the investigation is not finished yet.

Officials think the elephants may have eaten food from farms near the park. Elephants sometimes walk onto farmland to look for food and water.

People are checking water, plants and other possible sources of the toxic substance. They want to protect elephants, other animals and local farms.
