Drought Reveals Old Shipwrecks in the Danube

The Danube River in Serbia and Croatia became very low in the summer. There was hot weather and no rain for a long time. The water went down and people could see the sand.

Boats could not move well in the shallow water. Big ships had to carry less fuel and food. Fishing and tourism stopped working normally.

In Croatia, people found an old ship from 1937 under the water. In Serbia, old German war ships from 1944 appeared again. These old ships made it dangerous for boats to travel on the river.
